For the Art & Design Interdisciplinary Yearbook, me and Scott would be the people overseeing the job on behalf of the client. A big task indeed. I got quotes of Team Impression and Duffield Printers.

Business Cards
I have recieved my business cards back from Duffield Printers. I am very happy with the quality of them and glad I didn't go to a cheaper, overnight place instead as I have seen some of my corsemates' and the quality is less than to be desired. http://www.duffieldprinters.co.uk
New Wesbite
I updated my website to correspond with my new branding. I feel I have completely customised my Indexhibit site with CSS to create a personal look and feel.
You can view my site online at www.mcgow.co.uk.
Self-Promotion – New
I decided to update my branding to give myelf a more professional look, I felt my old branding was abit too young.
Work Placement – The Consult, Leeds
Alex, creative director at The Consult came in the studio for a presentation and I was lucky enough to be offered a work placement at The Consult in Leeds.
Graphic Design Yearbook Quotes
As part of our proposal for the Graphic Design Yearbook we have been in contact with printers to get quotes. While Scott was dealing with contacting local printers, I decided to use a Liverpool-based printer, Print Fine, that had been recommended to me by Da Vinci.
Initial Website
I have put together an Indexhibit site as a basis for my self-promotion. I have customised the CSS to start making the site my own and I will be updating my branding to follow this.
Word Placement – Back At Da Vinci
Over Christmas I was invited back to Da Vinci Communications in Manchester for another placement – so I jumped at the chance.
Self–Promotion
After we got back from summer, we were asked to create a branding pack for ourselves, logos, business cards, mailshots, etc.
I found the task of actually designing a logo for yourself as quite an awkward one. Trying to pin down what my logo should say about me and how it will say it, in what typeface were all decisions I couldn't keep a definitive answer on.

Work Placement – Da Vinci Communications Manchester
Over the summer I completed my work experience at Da Vinci Communications, Manchester. I ended up spending 6 weeks there and it was an amzing experience I'm thankful for. Being able to work alongside proffessional designers really motivated me and I have learnt a lot that I can put to use for this term.
